"Pink Puppy"
Written and Illustrated by Ana Patricia Elizondo
One day Patty Puppy went to the zoo. There were lots of animals. They were remodeling the zoo for the “350th Anniversary.” Paty’s favorite color was pink. If she saw it, she’d buy it, get it or run to it.
At the zoo they were painting a wall pink. They you’ll never guess what happened. She rain into the bucket of pink paint! Patty was all pink, and she didn’t know how to get it off.
Even thou she felt quite ravishing. She tried everything she could think of to get the paint off, but it wouldn’t come off.
A couple minutes later, Paty Puppy passed a wolf and said, “Who can help me?” “You can help you” said the wolf. “Just howl it off,” Paty Puppy howled and howled and howled, but it wouldn’t come off.
A couple minuts later, Paty Puppy passed a cat and said “Who can help me?” “You can help you” said the cat. “Just scratch it off.” Paty Puppy scratched and scratched and scratched, but it wouldn’t come off.
Then Patty Puppy passed a chimp and said “Who can help me?” “You can help you, just get a banana and slip it off.” Patty Puppy got three bananas and slipped and slipped. But the paint didn’t slip off, Patty did!
Patty felt worthless. She layed down near a lake and said “Who can help me?” “You can help you” said a fish “You just have to rinse the paint off.” Even though Patty knew the paint wasn’t going to come of, she tried it anyway.
When Paty got out of the lake, it was a miricale! She was back to normal. Her gray self was back. She felt like a Miniature Schnauzer again and not a pink poodle. Patty was so relieved. She lived happily ever after.
A couple of minutes later Paty Puppy passed a tree and said “Who can help me?” “You can help you” said the tree. “Just bark off the paint.” Paty Puppy barked and barked and barked, but it wouldn’t come off.
