KMBH is especially proud of its new DT channel 38. More importantly, KMBH is excited about all the new possibilities that are available with digital technology. For example, KMBH now has the ability to datacast. Datacasting can be thought of as “on-demand” content delivery to your personal computer, laptop or television set. Exciting isn’t it? Being true to our mission and commitment to service, KMBH has also decided to expand its digital technology services to a maximum. Soon, KMBH will also multicast. Multicasting means that KMBH will air more than one channel, simultaneously- four as a matter of fact. Here’s what KMBH multicasting will look like: KMBH 38.1, KMBH 38.2, KMBH 38.3 and KMBH 38.4. Imagine the choices, the opportunities, the excitement.
We’re not stopping there. KMBH has dedicated a channel to bilingual health programming that will include information on diseases, treatment options, prevention, health care training, awareness and much more. KMBH will also offer workforce training programs, adult basic education (including voter education) programs and lots more. Don’t worry, you’ll still be able to count on KMBH to deliver the quality PBS programs you’ve come to expect.
We’re working hard to do our part, but there is a bit of “homework” for you. We can only control what we air and how we air it, how you receive it…that’s where your “homework begins.”
