KMBH is proud to be a part of the first statewide digital community network. Through its participation in the Texas Public Broadcasting Educational Network, KMBH is able to expand its reach throughout Texas and into the border region of Mexico. Using the Datacasting Services platform, KMBH will disseminate educational programming from various local, regional and state agencies in areas of health, workforce training, occupational safety, border safety, college preparedness, environmental awareness, basic education, voter education and more.
The KMBH coverage area expands into the northern border region of Mexico creating the need for continued awareness, concern and coordination with representatives from Mexico. KMBH has been on a binational initiative that could potentially improve the quality of life for those living in the border regions of Mexico. Of increased priority are bilingual health education and occupational training.
